"Rotational control is the primary objective of the Lerman Shoulder Orthosis. It will hold the shoulder in external rotation, a neutral position or internal rotation depending on your patient needs. When I designed the Gunslinger brace, I had the same concept in mind. However, the brace is a very difficult product to fit. The Lerman Shoulder gives both excellent fit and function." -Max Lerman, CO

The DonJoy Lerman Shoulder

The DonJoy Lerman Shoulder What is a Humeral Dislocation?

Dislocation of the humerus occurs most commonly in the anterior inferior direction. The arm is generally held in external rotation with slight abduction, producing anterior inferior dislocation.

If elevation is added to the arm, this may further enhance this type of dislocation.
