The FLA 4-Panel Surgical Abdominal Binder, 12" Information


The FLA Four Panel Surgical Binder allows more flexibility and conformity than the competition. These three-panel and four-panel elastic surgical binders provide support and compression to abdominal muscles weakened by strain without restricting breathing or muscle redevelopment. An abdominal strain is defined as a mild injury to the abdominal muscles resulting from trauma, overuse, pregnancy, inactivity, or surgeries such as cesarean, liposuction, or hysterectomy.

Abdominal binders enhance compliance following open abdominal surgical procedures and can help prevent sedentary complications such as pneumonia. Wearing a brace encourages ambulation earlier and allows for more comfortable and controlled breathing.

  • Paneled Hinged Stitch:
    This innovative design has a simulated hinged stitch that creates separate panels for a more conforming, tapered fit with flexibility. Old style panel abdominal binders were connected with an open, crochet-like stitch that easily pinched the skin and left an opening for swelling pool. FLA's unique hinged stitch eliminates these problems. Plush lining.
  • Latex Free and Plush Lining:
    Comfortable and non-irritating for patients and caregivers with latex rubber sensitivities.
  • True Woven Elastic
    Woven, as opposed to knit elastic, is the premium construction in elastic materials. Woven elastic gives firm and consistent compression power and can be cut without unraveling to accommodate drainage tubes. Can be cut without unraveling to accommodate drainage tubes.
  • Hook Compatible Exterior
    Allows for a wider range of adjustability and easy application.
