Lumbar Back Braces are utilized to provide support to the lumbar spine, aid in the relief of mild to moderate low back pain and low back sprains or strains. Some braces also provide compression and warmth to the lower back area. Most back pain is caused by injury or over use, often by attempting to lift or move a heavy object. Pain is also experienced when pressure is applied to the nerve root in the spine, as with a herniated disc, osteoarthritis, spinal stenosis and compression fractures. Nearly 80% of all adults experience back pain at some time in their lives. This is a normal radiograph of the lumbar spine.
