The ProCare Universal Ankle Brace What is a Stirrup Brace?

In general, a stirrup brace is an ankle support that has a rigid shell on either side of the ankle in order to splint it. The two stirrups are usually constructed of a thermoplastic material that allows some flexibility to contour to the shape of the persons ankle anatomy.

Many stirrups can be heat molded for additional conformity and customization.
