STIRRUP BRACES
|
Ankle Stirrups provide maximum protection from inversion (foot turning in) and eversion (foot turning out) injuries. Normal ankle flexion and extension is virtually unrestricted. Ankle Stirrups usually are made of contoured plastic shells which conform to the ankle bones with minimal bulk in the shoe.
The inner lining of an ankle stirrup can vary from foam materials to liquid and air cells (Royce Gel Stirrup). This lining provides additional compression as well as controlling edema and swelling.
